Lydia Smith is now teaching two and a half day introductions to the SomaVeda™ Basic Thai approach to health and healing. After a weekend workshop, you can legally start your own practice.

What you learn in Level 2:
- There are NO PRE-REQUISITES--so Yes, you can take Level 2 without having taken Level
- The student is introduced to the 50 plus traditional therapeutic Asanas
- Understand the SomaVeda™ Therapeutic program concept and session protocol
- More commonly known as the Southern or Royal Method we explore variations from three different recognized or traditional Royal traditions: Buddhai Sawan, Wat Po and Anantasuk schools.
- This course is predominately hands on, with a thorough introduction to the underlying philosophy and theory of energy.

What you learn in Level 3:
- Explore in detail the Chinese and Hill tribe influence on hands on healing
- Learn the 8 basic flows of the SomaVeda™ Northern method.
- Similar to flows of of the ITM and Old medicine Hospital Traditions yet taught from the SomaVeda™ perspective
- Understand the Energetic Anatomy and Physiology, Ten principle Sen or Nadis and Chakras is deepened.
- Basic western anatomy and physiology as it applies to the SomaVeda™ Nuad Boran (Chiang Mai thai massage school style) is introduced at this time.
- The role of the breath in partnership within the therapeutic encounter is discussed and practiced more intently.
- This course focuses of the use of Puja or intentional affirmations and Mantra in the healing process. This course originates from the Shivago lineage and we will learn and practice the Om Namo Mantra every day.
- This class is “hands on” and quite intensive. It is designed to take your SomaVeda™ Thai Yoga and Massage experience to a higher level.
- Additional Oriental and Western Anatomy and Physiology is introduced.
- The Northern style is the most Yang variation of the traditional SomaVeda™ Thai Yoga healing methods. In this course we will catalog over 200 different asanas or therapeutic postures.
- The course includes SomaVeda™ Thai reflexology treatment for the hands and feet
- Learn basic Thai Yoga techniques for table massage
- During this seven day intensive there is additional practice of the meditative and spiritual aspects of training ie: Vipassana ( Insight Meditation) and Puja.
